The City of Joliet Diversity & Community Relations Committee is scheduled to convene for a special meeting on Monday, June 30, 2025. The meeting will take place at 4:30 PM in the Executive Conference Room on the second floor of Joliet City Hall, located at 150 West Jefferson Street, Joliet, Illinois.

For those unable to attend in person, comments can be submitted via email prior to the meeting at publiccomment@joliet.gov.

The agenda includes roll call and approval of minutes from the previous meeting held on May 5, 2025. There will be an opportunity for citizens to speak on agenda items. Each speaker is allotted a maximum of four minutes. This segment is not intended as a question-and-answer session; committee members and staff typically do not respond to public comments during this time. Public speaking procedures are available with the City Clerk. Any conduct deemed disruptive by the Presiding Officer may result in loss of speaking privileges.

A presentation will be given on the Community Development Block Grant, Consolidated Plan for 2025-2029, and Annual Action Plan for 2025.

There will also be time allocated for new or old business that does not require final action or recommendation.

Additionally, there is a public comment section for non-agenda items where speakers are also allowed up to four minutes each under similar guidelines as before.

The meeting location is accessible. For reasonable accommodation requests, contact The City Clerk Office at 150 West Jefferson Street, Joliet, Illinois 60432 or call 815-724-3780.
