The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has sent individuals to the area to conduct research related to lead pipes. These individuals have registered with Village Hall and are tasked with asking residents if they wish to participate in a study concerning this issue.

According to information shared by Crete Police Department Chief Pieritz, these researchers will be present throughout the week and may make return visits over the coming months. It is important for residents to note that their participation is entirely voluntary, and there is no obligation to interact with these representatives or answer their inquiries.

This notification serves as a public awareness message. Residents should feel free to engage at their discretion.
