X. PRESENTATION OF AWARDS
1. Forest Preserve District of Will County - Will County Humane Society
A 2020 Dog Park Calendar highlighting the Forest Preserve District's dog parks and its many canine visitors raised $5,865 for the Will County Humane Society. Presenting the check donation from the Forest Preserve was Secretary Mimi Cowan, Board President Kenneth E. Harris, and Chief Operating Officer Ralph Schultz. Accepting the check from the Will County Humane Society was Malorie Ernst, the shelter’s kennel manager, Jeremy Ernst, shelter IT volunteer and Comet, a dog that is up for adoption at the shelter.
2. The Nature Foundation of Will County Year in Review
Executive Director Cindy Harn presented the Nature Foundation of Will County's Year in Review to the Board of Commissioners. Harn thanked the Board of Commissioners and the Forest Preserve for supporting the Foundation for living its mission and providing the highest level of public service and amenities as possible.
