Crete welcomes new auxiliary police officer Carmen Arroyo

Carmen Arroyo has been sworn in as a part-time Auxiliary Crete Police Officer. The ceremony took place at the Village Board meeting on June 23rd. Arroyo is currently studying for a degree in criminal justice and serves in the Army National Guard. She also works as a police clerk and administrative assistant in Momence, where her father holds the position of sergeant.

Arroyo has previously participated in ride-alongs with Crete officers, demonstrating her commitment to public service. As she joins the department, she will be recognized by Badge #701.

"Join us in welcoming her to Crete," said a statement from the department.
