Will County’s Republican Central Committee (WCRCC) invites constituents to its upcoming regular monthly “Meet and Greet” from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 21 at Gatto’s Restaurant, 1938 E. Lincoln Highway in New Lenox.
With more than 300 precincts spanning two dozen townships in the geographically large Will County, the Republican committee is vitally important in reaching the jurisdiction’s 407,702 registered voters and depends largely on community-level campaigning.
“Working together in our precinct, township and countywide grassroots efforts is critical to maintaining our Republican majority on the Will County Board and, in 2016, toward electing more Republicans at all levels of government,” the committee stated.
The last general election marked Will County among Illinois’ top three counties for substantial boosts in Republican turnout (11.65 percent) and voting (11,100 total votes).
The WCRCC meeting on July 21 will include addressing various topics of business.
In addition to reviewing pending matters, the committee will nominate and elect officers, review precinct needs, address upcoming events and make announcements. Additionally, the committee has announced an annual fundraiser slated for Aug. 10, with more details to come.
“With an historic national election on the horizon as well as several state and countywide races on our ballots this year, we need to continue to grow and strengthen our party, to win more elections for more Republicans,” the committee said. “Please join us.”
