Plainfield Road (Raynor Ave. to Center St.) Road Closure - Water Main Improvement Project
Work on the Plainfield Road Water Main Improvement Project on Plainfield Road (US Route 30) between Raynor Avenue and Center Street continues to progress. A full road closure will be required for the work on Plainfield Road between Raynor Street and Center Street beginning on Monday, October 9, 2023.

Joliet Section 205 Draft Detailed Project Report and Environmental Assessment Notice of Availability
The U.S Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago District (USACE) is releasing for public comment the draft Detailed Project Report and Environmental Assessment (DPR/EA) which documents the results of a feasibility study conducted to reduce flood risk to the City of Joliet, Will County, Illinois as required under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended. The City of Joliet is partnering with USACE to assess flood risk from the Des Plaines River and to formulate and evaluate potential alternatives to reduce identified flood risk. This study is being conducted under Section 205 of the Flood Control Act of 1948, as amended.
