Plainfield School District 202 had the highest enrollment among Will County districts, welcoming 24,554 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 51% of them were boys, 48.9% were girls, and 0.1% identified themselves as non-binary or did not specify their gender.

The most represented ethnicity among Plainfield School District 202 students was white, comprising 47.7% of the student population.

Among the 29 districts in Will County, Valley View Community Unit School District 365U ranked second in enrollment numbers with 14,660 students, while Joliet Public School District 86 welcomed 9,415 students and ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.
