APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Public Service Minutes 09/16/2024

A motion was made by Councilman Pat Mudron, seconded by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, to approve the September 16, 2024 Public Service Minutes. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilman Hug, Councilman Mudron and Councilwoman Reardon

CONTRACTS

2024 Electrical Materials Purchase Order No. 1 from Helsel & Jepperson Electrical Co. in the amount of $55,437.50

Sean Mikos, Deputy Director of Engineering, discussed the Electrical Materials PO No. 1, in the amount of $55,437.50, from Helsel & Jepperson Electrical Co.

Award of Professional Engineering Services Contract for Phase III Engineering Services for the Theodore Street (Drauden Road - Wesmere Parkway) Roadway Widening Improvements Project - MFT Section No. 18-00515-01-WR to V3 Companies, LTD in the amount of $352,814.00

Greg Ruddy, Public Works Director, discussed the Award of Professional Engineering Services Contract for Phase III Engineering Services for the Theodore Street (Drauden Road - Wesmere Parkway) Roadway Widening Improvements, in the amount of $352,814.00, to V3 Companies, LTD. A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Pat Mudron, to recommend ID-1854-20, and ID1855-20 for approval by full Council. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilman Hug, Councilman Mudron and Councilwoman Reardon

CHANGE ORDERS/PAY ESTIMATES/FINAL PAYMENTS

Change Order No. 1 for the 2023 Underground Storage Tank Removal and Replacement Project to Petroleum Technologies Equipment Inc. in the amount of $385,466.65

Sean Mikos discussed Change Order No. 1 for the 2023 Underground Storage Tank Removal and Replacement Project, in the amount of $385,466.65, to Petroleum Technologies Equipment Inc.

A motion was made by Councilman Pat Mudron, seconded by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, to recommend ID-1856-20 for approval by full Council. The motion carried by the following vote:

Resolution Authorizing a Design Agreement between the Department of the Army and the City of Joliet for the Design for the Joliet Levee Flood Risk Management Project

Sean Mikos discussed the Resolution Authorizing a Design Agreement between the Department of the Army and the City of Joliet for the Design for the Joliet Levee Flood Risk Management Project.

Resolution Appropriating Motor Tax Funds for the Construction of the Theodore Street (Drauden Road and Wesmere Parkway) Roadway Widening Improvements Project - MFT Section No. 18-00515-01-WR

Greg Ruddy discussed the Resolution Appropriating Motor Tax Funds for the Construction of the Theodore Street (Drauden Road and Wesmere Parkway) Roadway Widening Improvements Project.

Greg Ruddy discussed the Resolution Appropriating Motor Fuel Tax Funds for the Award of the Phase III Engineering Services agreement.

Resolution Approving an Agreement with the Illinois Department of Transportation for Construction and Phase III

Engineering Services for the Theodore Street (Drauden Road - Wesmere Parkway) Roadway Widening Improvements Project - MFT Section No. 18-00515-01-WR

Greg Ruddy discussed the Resolution Approving an Intergovernmental Agreement with IDOT for Construction and Phase III Engineering Services for the Theodore Street (Drauden Road-Wesmere Parkway).

A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by

Councilman Pat Mudron, to recommend ID-1857-20, 1858-20, 1859-20, and 1860-20 for approval by full Council. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilman Hug, Councilman Mudron and Councilwoman Reardon

Ordinance Amending the 2024 Annual Budget for the City of Joliet and Purchase and Upfit of One (1) New Electric Tram from MotoElectric in an amount not to exceed $95,000.00

Sean Mikos discussed the Ordinance Amending the 2024 Annual Budget for the City of Joliet and Purchase and Upfit of One new Electric Tram, in the amount of $95,000.00, from MotoElectric. Notification was received after the memo was written that sufficient funds were received for this purchase.

A motion was made by Councilman Pat Mudron, seconded by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, to recommend ID-1861-20 for approval by full Council. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilman Mudron and Councilwoman Reardon

Nay: Councilman Hug
