The City of Joliet's Communication, Technology & Information Systems Committee is scheduled to hold a special meeting on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 8:30 AM. The meeting will take place in the Executive Conference Room on the second floor of Joliet City Hall, located at 150 West Jefferson Street.

Citizens who cannot attend the meeting in person have the option to email their comments in advance to publiccomment@joliet.gov.

The agenda includes roll call and approval of minutes from the previous committee meeting held on June 4, 2025. There will be an opportunity for citizens to speak about items on the agenda. Each speaker is allowed up to four minutes. According to city procedures, "It is not a question and answer period and staff, and the Committee members do not generally respond to public comments. The City Clerk has a copy of the public speaking procedures; please note, speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the meeting shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak."

Key items listed for discussion include awarding a contract to CDWG for renewing Cradlepoint NetCloud Mobile Router Licensing at a cost of $44,278.00 and awarding a contract to DTS for VUEWorks Asset Management Software Support and Hosting in the amount of $70,000.00.

There will also be time allocated for new or old business that is not intended for final action or recommendation.

A public comment section will allow citizens to address non-agenda items with similar rules as those applied during agenda item discussions: "It is not a question and answer period and staff, and the Committee members do not generally respond to public comments.
