Mrs. Webster and Mrs. O’Dwyer’s class participated in The Winter Olympics.
We  transformed our room into THE NEST and then the students voted on which  events they would like to learn about. After tallying the votes, we watched videos  of each sport and learned facts about figure skating, curling, ice hockey, and ski  jumping. After we read about each event the students participated in friendly  competition to see who would win the gold, silver, or bronze medal in each event.  While learning about ski jumping the students participated in a STEM project to  use everyday materials to make a ramp and skier. They worked so hard to have  their skiers be successful!
During tech with Mr. Schneider, the students were able to digitally design what  they thought the medals of our Olympics games would look like.
They then took  their digital image and brought their vision to life. After they constructed their  medals each child wrote how they would feel if they won a medal in the Olympics.  We had such a great time
