Cost of college went up for all students at the University of St Francis

Tuition and fees rose 2.7 percent for 2018-19 at the University of St Francis, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $32,320 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $850 more than the $31,470 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 226 students received grants or scholarships totaling $4.7 million and 156 students took out student loans totaling more than $1 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,927), 1,430 students used grants or scholarships totaling $25.1 million, and 1,114 students took out $8.3 million in federal student loans.
