Q3 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Will County?

There were 134 offenders released on parole during the third quarter of 2019 that live in Will County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Will County Gazette.

The data shows that 131 men and three women were released in Will County. Of the parolees, three were veterans, and the median age was 38. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2019, and the oldest was a 69-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Eugene McDaniel Jr. He was convicted of homicide in 1991 when he was 39 years old. He is now 68.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter of 2019 in each Will County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
