City of Joliet City Council met Thursday, Dec. 26.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

II.         CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS:

This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding items listed on the agenda, except for items listed under Public Hearing.  Anyone speaking on an agenda item is entitled to speak for a maximum of 4 minutes.  It is not a question and answer period and staff and the City Council do not generally respond to public comments. The City Clerk has a copy of the public speaking procedures; please note speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the Council shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak.

C.         COUNCIL MEMO #716-19: Ordinances for the Levy and Assessment of Taxes for the Fiscal Year Beginning January 1, 2019 and Ending December 31, 2019 in and for the City of Joliet; Including the Joliet Public Library

D.         COUNCIL MEMO #717-19: Ordinance Amending Chapter 28 - Taxation, Article VII, Hotel and Motel Accommodations, Of the City of Joliet Code of Ordinances (Tax Upon the Rental or Leasing of any Hotel or Motel Accommodation at the Rate of Ten (10) Percent)

E.         COUNCIL MEMO #718-19: Ordinance Amending Chapter 28 - Taxation, Article IX - Retail Purchase of Motor Fuel, of the City of Joliet Code of Ordinances (Taxable Motor Fuel Rate of Four Cents ($.04) Per Gallon)

F.         COUNCIL MEMO #719-19: Ordinance Amending Chapter 14, Municipal Waste, Article III, Collection Fee
