CITY OF LOCKPORT: Strategic Plan Survey

Surveypic

City of Lockport issued the following announcement on July 26.

The City of Lockport is seeking resident input in the strategic planning process through an online survey available now. Participating City residents will be providing valuable feedback about the community, City governance, and strategic priorities. Responses will be incorporated into the City’s Strategic Plan 2020-2022.

The survey is currently available online at surveymonkey.com/r/lockportil. Printed copies are also available at City Hall, 222 E. 9th Street, 3rd Floor, in the Administration Office. The estimated time to complete the survey is five to seven minutes. Responses will be collected until the survey closes on Friday, August 9 at 5 p.m.

The City began developing the next strategic plan in June. City Council and key staff participated in a questionnaire which provided a portion of the framework for the Strategic Planning Session, a Special Meeting of the City Council held on July 10, 2019.

Meeting attendees reviewed recent economic and key performance indicators, a summary of the questionnaire results, and participated in group breakouts discussing the future vision of the City, opportunities, challenges, and strategies.

The City will incorporate the results of the resident survey into the plan which will drive the focus and activities of the City over the next three years. The draft plan is anticipated to be presented at a Committee of the Whole meeting for City Council’s consideration in the early fall. The final plan is expected to be adopted later this year and implementation will begin in January 2020.
