Q3 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Will County?

There were 156 offenders released on parole during the third quarter that live in Will County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Will County Gazette.

The data shows that 144 men and 12 women were released in Will County. Of the parolees, four were veterans, and the median age was 34. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 60-year-old woman sentenced for a property crime in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was David Dean. He was convicted of homicide in 1992 when he was 23 years old. He is now 50.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter in each Will County municipality.
