City of Lockport issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.
D Construction has completed demolition of the existing vaulted sidewalks. Installation of gravity walls at 908, 910/912, and 916/920 State Street has been completed. Watermain was pressure-tested and chlorinated last week on the east side of the 900 block of State Street. Concrete sidewalk was poured on the west side of the 1000 block of State Street. Only one water service - which requires specialized work - remains on the block.
Coming Up
D Construction will begin to install water services on the east side of the 900 block of State Street. Once services are completed, watermain installation will continue down the east side of the 1000 block of State Street. Gravity walls will be completed at 928, 932, and 940 State Street. The gravity walls will then be capped and back-filled as soon as proper curing time is achieved.
