Channahon Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Oct. 3.
A contract for this work was awarded September 3rd to A.C. Pavement Striping. Work is expected to take place between October 8th and October 31st. Working hours will be Tuesdays thru Fridays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Parking on roadways is not allowed during working hours. Traffic will also be prohibited from traveling on freshly applied emulsion and chips. However, at least one lane of traffic will remain open to two-way traffic. To avoid tracking emulsion and chips onto driveways, the Village asks that you avoid accessing your driveway during working hours as much as possible.

Streets to receive BST work this year are Ridge Rd (Hansel to ComEd ROW), Gun Club Rd (south of Rt 6 to Bungalow Rd., Municipal Dr. and Northern IL Dr. A hand-delivered notification will also be provided to property owners 48 hours in advance of work on their street.
