Report: Lockport spent $9,472 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Lockport School District 91 is up 9 percent from five years ago, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Will County school district spent $8,682 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,472 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 677 to 658.

Lockport's spending in 2016-17 was 27 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
