Report: Minooka spent $12,047 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Minooka Community High School District 111 is down 9 percent from five years ago, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Grundy County school district spent $13,311 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,047 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 2584 to 2655.

Minooka's spending in 2016-17 was 7 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
