Minooka Community High School District 111 Board met March 22.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
• Heard from the following members of the public during the public comments portion of the regular meeting:
o Brad Hinders spoke on behalf of his son.
• Conducted a first reading of PRESS Packet 97 as proposed by The Illinois Association of School Boards for possible revisions/additions/deletions to the MCHS District #111 Board of Education policy manual.
• Approved the FY19 Board of Education meeting schedule. Regular Board of Education meetings will now be held only on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM in the Central Campus Career Center, with a committee of the whole meeting to be held the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM in Room 263 at Central Campus.
• Approved an amended administrative recommendation of discipline for Student A as identified in closed session.
• Approved the employment of the following certified staff for the 2018-2019 school year as presented, pending proper paperwork and background checks deemed favorable by the MCHS District #111 Administration:
o Kyle Adelman-Band Director ($58,099)
• Approved an amendment to the current employment contract for Superintendent Dr. Kenny Lee. The amendment set the 2017-2018 salary at $178,145 retroactive to July 1, 2017.
• Approved a new employment contract for Superintendent Dr. Kenny Lee. The contract duration is from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2021 with a base salary for FY19 of $181,707.90.
