Analysis: Wilmington pays $4.23 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Wilmington Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81 percent of the $462,409 the Wilmington Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.23 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Wilmington contributed $374,680 to the fund, which saw a $37,294 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $88,541, or 19.1 percent, in 2016.
