The calls in Plainfield included 105 fires - 43 structure fires, 18 vehicle fires and 38 other fires. The fire department also responded to six calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $530,500 in fire loss - or about $5,052 per fire.
The department also received 529 false calls, including 12 malicious calls and 517 other false calls.
The Plainfield FPD Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 54 active employees and four retired or inactive employees, was $42,999 positive as of December 2015, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $410 for every fire in 2016.
