Wilmington, Illinois - Sophia M. Janke, 67, of Wilmington, Illinois, formerly of Midlothian, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox after battling cancer. Janke, born on July 17, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, worked as a registered nurse specializing in home healthcare. She is survived by her husband, Michael Janke, and their children and grandchildren. Per her wishes, cremation rites are being accorded, and a memorial visitation will be held at Baskerville Funeral Home on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Services and arrangements are under the care of Reeves, Fruland and Baskerville Funeral Homes and Crematory.
