Charles L. Carr | Baskerville Funeral Home - Wilmington

Charles Leonard Carr, aged 94, of Wilmington, Illinois, passed away on October 14, 2025. Born on February 10, 1931, he served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. On July 24, 1954, Charles married Angie McCaslin, with whom he shared a life filled with love, faith, and strong family values.

Charles worked at various jobs, including at Caterpillar Tractor Company, until his retirement in 1991. A devoted husband and father, he found joy in his family and took pride in their growth and accomplishments. Charles was known for his steadfast faith, quiet strength, and dedication to his family.

He is survived by his wife, two children, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, son-in-law, grandson, and his parents-in-law.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Baskerville Funeral Home, with a funeral service officiated by his son. Burial with full military honors will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the family.
