She was the cherished wife of the late Alfred Schultz and the beloved mother of Patricia Faber, Sandra Staley, and Alan Schultz. Bernice was a loving grandmother to David, Daniel, Aaron, and Shaun, and an adored great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother to many.

After becoming a widow at 54, Bernice navigated life with strength and grace, achieving many milestones, including learning to drive, buying her first car, and working at K-Mart until she was 86. Her true joy lay in tending to her flower gardens and spending precious moments with her family and friends.

A visitation for Bernice will be held on October 20, starting at 9:00 am, with a service following at 12:00 pm at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in Frankfort, IL. Interment will take place at Oakland Memory Lanes in Dolton, IL.

Bernice's legacy of love, resilience, and dedication to her family will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. The community mourns the loss of a remarkable woman whose kindness and strength will continue to shine through the memories she created and the love she shared.
