After years of quietly selling health-focused juice blends, Danielle Marshall has opened Danie’s Natural Juice Bar & Wellness Suite at 388 Forest Blvd. in Park Forest. The business, which had a soft opening on May 8, will hold an official ribbon-cutting ceremony this Saturday.
Marshall, who transitioned from a career as a speech-language pathologist to becoming a full-time "juiceologist," shared that her passion for natural wellness began after facing a personal health scare. “I was threatened with diabetes,” Marshall said. She started juicing, lost weight, and became more active, leading to inquiries from others about her regimen.
Her journey evolved from part-time juice sales while working in speech pathology to establishing a comprehensive wellness brand. During the initial stages, she also became a certified group fitness instructor and sold juices after outdoor workout sessions.
The Park Forest location offers all-natural cold-pressed juices, smoothies, frozen blends, and wellness shots made without added sugars. “The sugar in our juices is naturally occurring,” Marshall explained. Her products are available for energy boosts or post-workout recovery and are also sold at Kroger-owned Mariano's stores.
Although the storefront is new, Marshall has been manufacturing juices locally for four years at Poppin’ Plates culinary incubator. The community spirit of Park Forest influenced her decision to open the physical location downtown. “One of the things I love about Park Forest is how the Village works to engage residents through events like Main Street Nights and House Music Night,” she noted.
Danie’s Natural Juice Bar & Wellness Suite operates Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with pre-orders available online and upcoming delivery via Uber Eats.
Marshall aims for her business to promote healthier lifestyles while contributing economically to Park Forest: “We want to bring health and wellness, as well as jobs, growth, and energy to the area.”
