The Village of New Lenox, in partnership with VFW Post 9545 and American Legion Post 1977, will host a Veterans Day ceremony on Tuesday, November 11 at 11:00 a.m. The event will take place at the New Lenox Village Hall in the rotunda located at 1 Veterans Parkway.
Organizers state that the ceremony is intended to honor all veterans who have served the United States. "Please help us focus attention on the important purpose of Veterans Day: A celebration to thank and honor living American Veterans for their patriotism, love of country and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good – in wartime or peacetime," according to event details.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony. Attendees are encouraged to bring hand-held American flags to wave during the event.
