An incident at the Channahon Police Department involving a suspicious package has been resolved. According to a statement released by the department, "In coordination with the Cook County Bomb Squad, the package has been determined to be inert and safe." Authorities confirmed that there was no danger to the public during the incident.
Following the resolution, all roadways have been reopened. The police department assured that additional information would be provided as they return to normal operations. It was also announced that Village Hall will resume its regular operating hours starting tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m.
