Residents of Park Forest have a week to secure their vehicle stickers to avoid incurring late fees. The vehicle stickers, which became available on March 1, can be purchased in person at the Park Forest Village Hall since March 3. It is mandatory for all registered vehicles in the Village of Park Forest to display these stickers by April 30, at 5 p.m.

Marcy Gott, the Utility Billing Supervisor, informed that a $25 late fee would apply to sticker purchases made from May 1 onward, increasing significantly to $50 for purchases on or after August 1. According to Gott, approximately 5,000 vehicle stickers have been sold this year, and an additional 3,000 are expected to be bought in the coming days.

Gott advises residents to either purchase their stickers online or visit the Park Forest Water Department at Village Hall before the deadline to avoid last-minute queues. Gott remarked, "You don't want to spend part of your day in long lines to get your sticker." She added that buying online would mean the stickers would be mailed directly to the residents.

The Utility Billing Department works in coordination with the Park Forest Police Department to ensure compliance. Gott revealed that a list of non-compliant residents would be furnished to the police later in the year, and officers could issue violations to those who failed to purchase their stickers.

Vehicle stickers are available for purchase at Village Hall between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays. The deadline to purchase them is April 30.
