Village of Peotone Village Board met Oct. 14.
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
I. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Pro Tem Hudson at 6:00 pm.
II. Roll call
Village Clerk, Stacey Hartwell, conducted the roll call and following persons were present: Trustee Hudson, Trustee Marevka, Trustee Richards, Trustee Sandberg, Trustee Sluis and Trustee Strba. Also present was the Village Administrator and the Village Attorney.
III. Public Comments: None
IV. Approval of Consent Agenda:
A. Approve the Minutes of the September 23, 2024, Regular Village Board meeting
B. Approve Payroll/Accounts Payable

V. Staff Committee Reports:
A. Public Works Committee - Trustee Strba reported that at the committee meeting they went over the foreman position, leaf collection, brush pick up, snow removal and landscaping in the downtown and tree placement.
B. Public Works – Bob reported that leaf collection will start next week and branch pick up will end the last week of October. Waiting on the brick pavers to be completed in the downtown.
C. Police - The Chief reported that Bob activated the lights in the downtown area and they are now on at night.

A. Resolution Approving Crack Sealing Proposal from Freehill Asphalt Annual program for crack sealing.

B. Resolution Approving FY2024 Budget Amendments
The Village received funding from Federal ARPA money and in order to receive the funds the Village will need to purchase the laptops up front and submit for reimbursement. This will include four tablets and three laptops for the police department. There will be no negative impact on the budget.
