A woman was robbed behind Francesa’s restaurant in Frankfort | Chicago Fails / X
Surveillance footage shows an armed robbery behind Francesa’s restaurant in Frankfort.
The footage was released to X via the Chicago Fails account.
“South Suburban Frankfort…..person robbed at gunpoint. At a certain point, nowhere is safe,” Chicago Fails said on X.
Video of the incident shows a teen girl running and screaming “Somebody help! Somebody help!” after a man snatches her purse.
After the incident, the perpetrator ran off with an accomplice.
The incident occurred about 9:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29 in a parking lot in downtown Frankfort, police said, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The victim, who was not injured, told police the person flashed a gun at her in the lot off Nebraska Street between Oak Street and Ash Street.
The victim also said the person drove up to her as she was walking to her car. He drove a dark sedan with a headlight out, according to the victim’s statement.
One of the individuals involved in the incident was characterized by the police as a black male, approximately 6 feet in height, with an estimated weight of 200 pounds.
He was observed wearing dark attire and he and his accomplice had masks covering their faces during the robbery, FOX 32 reported.
