Village of Frankfort Board of Trustees met March 6.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Mayor Keith Ogle called the regular meeting of the Frankfort Village Board to order on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 7:01 P.M.

ROLL CALL

Village Clerk Katie Schubert called the roll. In attendance were Mayor Keith Ogle, Clerk Katie Schubert, Trustees Adam Borrelli, Margaret Farina, Michael Leddin, Jessica Petrow, Daniel Rossi, and Gene Savaria. Also in attendance were Attorney Hannah Lamore, Police Chief Leanne Chelepis, and Assistant Village Administrator John Burica.

APPROVAL OF SPECIAL ORDERS - UNANIMOUS CONSENT AGENDA

All items on the Omnibus Agenda are considered to be routine in nature and are enacted in one motion. There is no separate discussion of these items unless a board member makes a request, in which event, the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and will be considered separately.

A. Approval of Minutes

1. Regular Meeting (February 21 , 2023)

B. Approval of Bills - $1 ,318,251.19

Trustee Farina made a motion, seconded by Trustee Petrow, to approve the Unanimous Consent Agenda.

Trustee Savaria presented a brief overview of the consent agenda docket items under consideration for approval.

Clerk Schubert called the roll. Ayes: Trustees Borrelli, Farina, Leddin, Petrow, Rossi, and Savaria. Nays: None. The motion carried.

MAYOR'S REPORT

• Mayor Ogle invited the public to attend the 2nd annual "Spring on the Green" event on Sunday, March 19, from Noon to 2:00 P.M., on Breidert Green.

• Mayor Ogle announced the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce is hosting its inaugural State of the Village address on Thursday, April 27, at the Prestwick Country Club from 11 :30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. The event is open to the public and tickets are available at www.frankfo1ichamber.com.

• Mayor Ogle reminded everyone daylight saving time will begin on Sunday, March 12 at 2:00 AM and to tum clocks forward one hour.

• Mayor Ogle reported that he and staff will be meeting with the trustees this week to discuss budget initiatives for the upcoming fiscal year.

BOARD COMMENTS

Clerk Schubert reported Early Voting for the April 4th Consolidated Election will be available at the Village Hall from March 20 through March 31, Monday through Friday, 9:30 A.M. to 3:30 P .M. She noted other Early Voting sites and sample ballots can be found online at www.willcountyclerk.gov.

Trustee Leddin commented on the upcoming election and his personal journey through the political process. He acknowledged Trustee Farina who is not seeking re-election to focus on her family and thanked her for her service.

Trustee Savaria also commented on the upcoming election and echoed the sentiment that Trustee Farina will be missed.

Trustee Farina shared congratulations to past Frankfort Mayor Ray Rossi who was recently awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Italian-American Political Action Committee.

Trustee Petrow commented on the Village's new billing system and acknowledged staff and citizens for getting familiar with the new technology system.

Trustee Borrelli commented on his time serving the Village and his love for this town and local government. He asked about the possibility of having the Lincoln- Way East Cheer Team come to a meeting for recognition of their state championship.

Trustee Rossi wished all candidates good luck and gave a shout out to Asst. Administrator Burica for spearheading the roll-out of the Village's new technology system.

VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR REPORT

Asst. Administrator Burica stated the roll-out of the Village's new software system has been a team effort and will provide expanded payment options for customers. He encouraged utility customers to sign up for e-bills and to contact the Village if they need assistance.

POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT

Chief Chelepis invited the public to join the Frankfort Police Department for the next "Coffee with a Cop" event on Friday, March 10, from 9:30 A.M. to 11 :00 A.M. at Cultivate Community Table, 11 S. White Street. She also invited residents to participate in the upcoming "Citizen's Police Academy" which is a 9-week program beginning March 30. She noted registration is required and applications can be found on the Village website or Facebook page.

VILLAGE ATTORNEY'S REPORT

Village Attorney Hannah Lamore had no report.

OTHER BUSINESS

There were no other items of business for discussion.

PUBLIC COMMENT

No public comments were addressed to the Village Board.

ADJOURNMENT

Hearing no further business, Trustee Farina made a motion, seconded by Trustee Savaria, to adjourn the regular board meeting of Monday, March 6, 2023. A voice vote was taken. All were in favor. The motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 7: 17 P.M.
