Troy Township recently issued the following announcement.
Troy Township has partnered with the Illinois Department of Public Health to host a COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic on Tuesday, September 14th from 10:00am – 3:00pm.
The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will be offered and is authorized and recommended for persons 12 years of age and older.
Johnson & Johnson & Moderna will also be available.
First & second shots of all 3 vaccines will be available.
The COVID-19 3rd vaccine will be available, however, with in the below CDC guidelines.
Currently, CDC is recommending that moderately to severely immunocompromised people receive an additional dose. This includes people who have:
- Been receiving active cancer treatment for tumors or cancers of the blood
- Received an organ transplant and are taking medicine to suppress the immune system
- Received a stem cell transplant within the last 2 years or are taking medicine to suppress the immune system
- Moderate or severe primary immunodeficiency (such as DiGeorge syndrome, Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome)
- Advanced or untreated HIV infection
- Active treatment with high-dose corticosteroids or other drugs that may suppress your immune response
People should talk to their healthcare provider about their medical condition, and whether getting an additional dose is appropriate for them.

The COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic will be held at Troy Township at 25448 Seil Road in Shorewood.
