CITY MANAGER:
The City Manager briefly addressed an article in the Patch and the messaging of Joliet. NEW BUSINESS (Not for Final Action or Recommendation):
In response to Councilwoman Reardon's question, Arborist Jim Teiber discussed the need to maintenance parkway trees. A brief discussion was held regarding dead trees and the cost of trimming parkway trees.
In response to Mayor O'Dekirk's question, the City Manager briefly discussed reinstating the City newsletter.
PUBLIC COMMENTS:
No email comments were received.
Margie Cepon spoke in opposition of the recent Joliet Patch article. She spoke in favor of the need for public art and a possible funding source. She thanked Councilwoman Gavin for the time she takes to work with the southeast side. Ms. Cepon also thanked Councilman Turk for his many years of service and all he has done for the community.
Councilman Turk thanked Ms. Cepon for her comments.

MAYOR AND COUNCIL COMMENTS:
Councilwoman Gavin and the City Manager briefly discussed the importance of the canvas when revitalizing the murals.
Councilman Hug spoke regarding recent negative Joliet article in the Patch. Councilman Mudron spoke regarding COVID vaccination availability.
Councilwoman Quillman also discussed COVID vaccinations.
Mayor O'Dekirk thanked all the volunteers administering the COVID shots at Joliet West High School.
A brief discussion was held regarding the dates for the next Council meetings.
