The Village has issued a notice regarding the operation of ice cream trucks within its limits. As per Village Code Section 83 (83-6.13), selling ice cream from trucks is prohibited unless the vendor has received specific approval for a Village Special Event.
Residents are advised to be cautious if they observe an ice cream truck in their neighborhood. The presence of such trucks indicates that they have not been authorized by the Village and may lack a valid food safety license from Will County.
The Village encourages residents to report any concerns about unauthorized ice cream truck activities.
