ILLINOIS STATE HOUSE DISTRICT 98: Manley Wears Red to Highlight American Heart Month

97

Illinois State House District 98 issued the following announcement on Feb. 25.

Manley Wears Red to Highlight American Heart Month

To bring attention to American Heart Month and the impact heart health has on overall wellbeing, state Rep. Natalie Manley, D-Joliet, recently wore red and met with American Heart Association advocates at the state Capitol.

“Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women across the United States and is often a silent killer, so having regular checkups and discussions with your health care provider about your personal risk factors is very important,” said Manley. “As a part of my effort to build a stronger Illinois I have continually fought for affordable health care, ensuring access to preventative care.”

Manley recently met with American Heart Association advocates in Springfield, as February is designated as American Heart Month to bring attention to the importance of heart health. To learn more about ways to keep your heart healthy visit heart.org.
