The bill, as it was introduced in the Senate by Sen. Scott M. Bennett (D-52) on Feb. 15, will amend the North Shore Water Reclamation District Act and the Sanitary District Act of 1917, according to the General Assembly website.
The measure passed the Senate on April 4. Assuming the Senate concurs with the House, the measure will be sent to the governor to decide if it should be signed into law.
