City of Crest Hill issued the following announcement on May 22.
Please join us as we celebrate our 31st Annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 27, 2019 at 2 pm
at the Crest Hill Veterans/ Police Memorial Garden
located at 1610 Plainfield Road, Crest Hill, IL.
The ceremony will honor the sacrifices of both our Veterans and our two slain Crest Hill Police Officers.
This year's Guest Speaker will be Capt. Anthony Catella, Veteran US Army and a member of the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Honor Guard.
Music will be provided by the Frankfort Brass Band, under the direction of Michael Orenic, including a pre-ceremony concert starting at 1:40 pm.
Lockport Township High School ROTC students, under the direction of Master Sgt. Andy Kinne, will perform a flag folding ceremony.
The ceremony will last approximately 1 hour, there will be refreshments served after the ceremony.
In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at St. Ambrose Church Hall, 1711 Burry Circle, Crest Hill.
