The campaign committee of state senator 43rd district candidate Patrick McGuire, McGuire for Senate, returned a $3,000 contribution from Heat & Frost Insulators Local 17 on Nov. 28, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Heat & Frost Insulators Local 17 has not made any other contributions to Patrick McGuire in the past 12 months.
