City of Lockport issued the following announcement on Feb. 1.
The Canadian National Rail Crossing on 9th Street, west of State Street, will be closed to all traffic beginning on Saturday, February 2 at 9 AM for maintenance. The crossing is anticipated to remain closed until Sunday, February 3 at noon.
Motorists should allow for additional time if they need to travel on 9th Street over the bridge, and should follow the posted detour signs.
Detour Routes:
Eastbound 9th Street - Take Canal Street north to 2nd Street or south to Division Street.
Westbound 9th Street - Take 2nd Street, head south on Canal Street back to the 9th Street bridge, or take Division Street, head north on Canal Street back to the 9th Street bridge.
Trucks must use 135th Street to the north.
