Of the 1,108 in-school suspensions, 774 were given to boys and 334 were given to girls, including 781 elementary or middle schoolers and 327 high schoolers.
The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes 1,092 incidents. There were six incidents of tobacco. For 924 incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
Of the 707 out-of-school suspensions, 504 were given to boys and 203 were given to girls, including 456 elementary or middle schoolers and 251 high schoolers.
