Mr. Ronaldson stated Mr. Gould and I met with Will-Grundy Contractors and staff to discuss items in the packet. They expressed interest in the matter. A written proposal was given to them and they are expected to get back to us this week.

How much will the utility work disrupt traffic?

Mr. Ronaldson replied they are required to follow MUTCD, if lanes are closed they have to barricade appropriately with signage. It is hard to say how much traffic will be disrupted, but there will be disruptions.

VIII. Director Of Transportation Discussion

1.Countywide Signal Maintenance – 12 month contract extension (see contract pg. 55)

Mr. Ronaldson stated in 2016 you approved a Resolution for signal maintenance. Within the contract is a clause, that if recommended by the County Engineer and approved by the Public Works & Transportation Committee, it can be extended for one year. My recommendation is to extend the contract for one additional year. Next year we will go out to bid.
