Report: Richland spent $11,325 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Richland School District 88A is up 14 percent from five years ago, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Will County school district spent $9,927 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,325 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 965 to 933.

Richland's spending in 2016-17 was 13 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
