Analysis: Romeoville pays $3.07 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Romeoville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 75.4 percent of the $2,249,217 the Romeoville Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.07 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Romeoville contributed $1,696,960 to the fund, which saw a $162,996 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $552,258, or 24.6 percent, in 2016.
