Analysis: Plainfield pays $1.93 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Plainfield Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 65.3 percent of the $1,451,867 the Plainfield Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $1.93 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Plainfield contributed $948,549 to the fund, which saw a $23,067 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $490,958, or 33.8 percent, in 2016. Another $12,360 came from other unspecified sources.
