Analysis: Plainfield pays $1.68 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Plainfield Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 62.5 percent of the $1,361,337 the Plainfield Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $1.68 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Plainfield contributed $850,474 to the fund, which saw a $17,412 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $504,133, or 37 percent, in 2016. Another $6,730 came from other unspecified sources.
