Analysis: Peotone pays $5.22 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Peotone Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.9 percent of the $106,562 the Peotone Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $5.22 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Peotone contributed $89,438 to the fund, which saw a $3,157 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $17,123, or 16.1 percent, in 2016. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
