Analysis: Crete pays $2.57 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Crete Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 74 percent of the $407,229 the Crete Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.57 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Crete contributed $301,401 to the fund, which saw a $23,584 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $116,921, or 28.7 percent, in 2016.
