The meeting of the Water, Sewer, Streets and Alleys Committee was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Alderman Studer.

Previous Meeting Minutes – October 11, 2017

The minutes were reviewed. Alderman Kirwin made a motion and Alderman Persic seconded to accept October 11, 2017 Committee meeting minutes as written and have them placed on file.

Upon voice vote, THE MOTION CARRIED unanimously.

Old Business

Update – Water’s Edge Subdivision Walk-thru

City Engineer Zemaitis provided a staff report to the Committee regarding Water’s Edge Subdivision. This report will be attached to the approved minutes of this meeting for future reference. Alderman Studer requested that this staff report be reviewed at the November 21, 2017 Finance, Administration and Land Acquisition Committee meeting for review and further discussion.

Discuss/Review – Chapter 52, Meters and Rates

This topic has been tabled until the City Accountant Kim Doglio has a chance to review the information and suggest the recommended changes.

New Business

Review and Approve IGA with Wilmington Township for Snowplowing

Alderman Studer requested that this agreement should be tabled until it has been reviewed and approved by the City’s Attorney. This will be discussed at the next meeting.

Other Business

City Engineer Zemaitis presented the Committee with an updated list of the streets to be improved for 2018 MFT project. This will also be discussed at the November 21, 2017 Finance, Administration and Land Acquisition Committee meeting for review and further discussion.

Superintendent Nugent informed the Committee that the IEPA Land Application of Lime Sludge was submitted accordingly and we should have the permit next week.

Superintendent Nugent explained that he was approached by an individual who would like to install an antenna on the west water tower from HAM Radio purposes. He will have more information regarding this matter at the next meeting.

Adjournment

With no further business before the Committee, Alderman Tutor made a motion and it was seconded by Alderman Kirwin to adjourn. Upon voice vote, THE MOTION CARRIED unanimously and the meeting was adjourned at 6:46 p.m.
