Village of Elwood Finance Committee met March 8.

Here is the minutes as provided by the Committee:

The Regular Meeting of the Finance Committee, Village of Elwood, March 8, 2017, at

12:00 pm, was called to order by Village Administrator Marian T. Gibson.

Present: Village Administrator Marian T. Gibson, Trustees: Jasen Melahn and Mary Matichak,

Village Clerk Julie Friebele, Assistant Village Administrator Ashleigh Spacht (participated via

telephone), Chief Fred Hayes, Supervisor of Public Works Larry Lohmar, Projects and Events

Coordinator Jamie Mack, Lauterbach & Amen, LLP Consultant Wesley Levy, Lauterbach & Amen,

LLP Bookkeepers: Greg Petschke and Steve Litko.

Not Present: Village President William E. Offerman

PRESENTATION OF MINUTES – FEBRUARY 15, 2017

The minutes of the February 15, 2017, meeting were presented and reviewed.

Trustee Jasen Melahn made a motion to approve the minutes of February 15, 2017, as

presented. Trustee Mary Matichak seconded the motion. The Finance Committee voted in favor

of the motion. The motion carried.

PRESENTATION OF BILLS

The Unpaid Invoice Report in the amount of $59,999.78 was presented and reviewed. Trustee

Mary Matichak made a motion to approve the unpaid invoice report as presented in the

amount of $59,999.78. Trustee Jasen Melahn seconded the motion. The Finance Committee

voted in favor of the motion. The motion carried.

PRESENTATION OF BILLS – PAID INVOICE REPORT 2-16-2017 THROUGH 3-15-2017

The Paid Invoice Report 2-16-2017 through 3-15-2017 was presented and reviewed.

Trustee Mary Matichak made a motion to approve the paid invoice report 2-16-2017 through 3-

15-2017 as presented in the amount of $1,213,359.00. Trustee Jasen Melahn seconded the

motion. The Finance Committee voted in favor of the motion. The motion carried.

MONTHLY FINANCIAL REPORT

The Monthly Financial Report was presented and reviewed. Trustee Jasen Melahn made a

motion to approve the Monthly Financial Report as presented. Trustee Mary Matichak

seconded the motion. The Finance Committee voted in favor of the motion. The motion carried.

BUDGET REVIEW

The proposed draft Budget for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 was presented and reviewed. The draft

fund summary was made available for public review on March 1, 2017. The Public Hearing on

the proposed annual Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Budget of the Village of Elwood will be held on

March 15, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers of the Elwood Village Hall.

OTHER BUSINESS

No other business was discussed.

ADJOURNMENT

A motion was made by Trustee Jasen Melahn to adjourn the meeting. Trustee Mary Matichak

seconded the Motion. The Finance Committee voted in favor of the motion. The motion

carried.
